Iconic 90's rockers return to Kirby Center for the first time in nearly twelve years

Prepare for a musical journey unlike any other as Primus, the groundbreaking rock band responsible for some of the most original sounds of the 1990s, graces the stage of the F.M. Kirby Center on May 6th, 2024, featuring the unparalleled talents of singer/bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Tim Alexander.


Since their inception in El Sobrante, California, in 1984, Primus has carved a niche for themselves by blending an eclectic mix of genres including metal, funk, alternative, punk, country, roots rock, and experimental music. Their innovative approach to songwriting and performance has earned them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim throughout their career.


The band's ability to seamlessly merge diverse musical influences is showcased in their extensive discography, which includes iconic albums such as "Frizzle Fry," "Sailing the Seas of Cheese," and "Pork Soda." Songs like "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver," "My Name Is Mud," and "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" have become anthems for a generation of music enthusiasts.

Tickets go on sale to the public 10 a.m. Friday with a Kirby member presale beginning 10 a.m. Feb. 21. Tickets are  $49.50, $59.50, $69.50, $99.50 and $119.50 plus fees
