Grammy Winners Greta Van Fleet to Headline Musikfest 2024 in Bethlehem

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Musikfest, the nation's largest non-gated free music festival, is set to rock Bethlehem once again with Grammy Award-winning headliners Greta Van Fleet set to grace the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza on August 1st. Joining them as special guests will be The Beaches. This announcement marks Greta Van Fleet as the ninth headliner for the 11-day festival, which is scheduled to take place from August 2nd to August 11th.

Founded in 1984, Musikfest has become a hallmark event in Bethlehem's cultural calendar, drawing thousands of visitors from around the nation and the world. The festival celebrates the vibrant tapestry of music, food, and culture in the Lehigh Valley region, weaving through the historic Moravian community that dates back to 1741.

One of the highlights of Musikfest is the Steel Stage, formerly known as RiverPlace and Kunstplatz, which hosts nationally recognized recording artists each night of the festival. While most performances across the festival's 16 stages are free, the premium concerts at the Steel Stage and select shows at other stages require paid tickets for admission.

Reflecting Bethlehem's German heritage, many of the festival's venues incorporate the German word "Platz" into their names. From the lively "Festplatz" with its polka bands to a diverse range of musical genres and cultural experiences, Musikfest offers something for everyone.

Presented by ArtsQuest, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to celebrating arts and culture in the Lehigh Valley and beyond, proceeds from Musikfest support various community initiatives including the Banana Factory community arts center in South Bethlehem.

In 2023, a record-breaking 1,330,000 people attended Musikfest, enjoying over 500 free performances across the city. With the 41st Musikfest scheduled for August 2nd to 11th, 2024, and a special preview night on August 1st, anticipation is high for another unforgettable celebration of music and community.

Aside from Greta Van Fleet and The Beaches, other headliners announced for Musikfest 2024 include ZZ Top, The Black-Eyed Peas, Shinedown, Jowell & Randy, Old Dominion, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Big Time Rush, and Ludacris. More headliners are yet to be announced, promising an exciting lineup for music lovers of all tastes.
