Did Live Nation Just Tease Slayer at Hersheypark Stadium?

In what may have been a premature slip-up—or a masterfully played tease—Live Nation Philly may have just let the cat out of the bag on a major summer tour stop. Early Friday morning, both the Live Nation Philly and Pavilion at Montage Facebook stories featured a cryptic animation: red Hershey Kisses swirling in a circle, slowly melting away to reveal none other than the iconic Slayer logo.
Though Slayer’s official site remains tight-lipped on the matter, the timing feels a little too perfect to ignore. The newly unretired thrash legends are currently slated to storm stages in the UK and Canada this July, before making a thunderous appearance at Louder Than Life in September. That leaves a suspiciously Slayer-shaped gap in late July and August—prime time for a U.S. summer run.
Could Hershey, PA—the so-called Sweetest Place on Earth—soon be melting under the heat of blistering riffs and pounding double bass drums? Fans who missed the band’s 2019 retirement tour (and even those who didn’t) might just get another shot at seeing their metal heroes roar back to life on American soil.
As of now, there’s been no official confirmation from the band or venue, but one thing's for sure: when Slayer hints at a comeback, the metal world listens. Whether it was an accidental leak or deliberate foreshadowing, all eyes are now on Hersheypark Stadium and Slayer's official website.
Time, and Slayer, will tell.
