Saturday night in Bethlehem, PA, was anything but quiet as Christian rock giants Skillet and their tourmates Seether raised the volume on a packed house at the Wind Creek Event Center. With fans who purched a VIP experience arriving early to secure their spots along the rail, the night began with opening acts Royale Lynn and Tim Montana, who set the tone for a raucous evening of music.
Up-and-coming country rocker Royale Lynn, recently hailed by Billboard as a “ferocious newcomer with ceiling scraping vocals,” wasted no time in making her mark. With her soaring vocals and a gritty punk-rock edge, Lynn’s set was high-energy and hard-hitting, showcasing hits like “Six Feet Deep.” The crowd, already buzzing, was hooked from the first note, and her raw performance hinted at a promising future for the star in the making.

Next up was Nashville’s Tim Montana and his band, The Shrednecks, who lived up to their name with a blistering, hook-filled set. Montana, a multi-talented singer-songwriter and producer, kept the energy going, and when Royale Lynn joined him for a powerful rendition of “Devil You Know,” the chemistry was undeniable. The Shrednecks’ mix of country, rock, and Southern swagger kept the audience on its toes, warming them up perfectly for the heavy hitters to come.
Seether, the early 2000s rock icons, stormed the stage with a blistering performance that brought the packed house to its feet. Kicking off with hits from their extensive nine-album catalog, they didn’t hold back. Standout moments included the massive sing-alongs to 2002’s “Fine Again” and the emotional weight of “Broken” from from the band's debut Disclaimer. Their hour-long set ended on a high with fan favorites “Fake It” and “Remedy,” whipping the crowd into a frenzy and proving Seether’s staying power in the world of hard rock.

Headliners, Skillet, took the stage after a short changeover and brought their signature blend of anthemic rock and inspirational messaging to the forefront. Opening with the explosive “Feel Invincible,” the Memphis-based quartet, led by the powerhouse husband-and-wife duo of John and Korey Cooper, quickly established that the night was going to be a special one for fans. With the addition of Jen Ledger’s thunderous drumming and co-lead vocals, along with Seth Morrison’s ripping guitar work, the band showcased their unmatched stage presence and energy.
With their 12th studio album REVOLUTION due out on November 1st, the band treated fans to an early set highlight with a performance of the first single from the album, “Unpopular”. The song ran in defiance of its title and fans who sang along in unison, embraced the new track as if it had already become a staple on their playlists and cemented itself as anything but unpopular. Skillet’s message of hope and perseverance resonated deeply, and as they closed with the relentless duo of “Monster” and “The Resistance,” the energy in the venue was electric.

By the time the final chord rang out, fans were left sweaty, exhilarated, and satisfied after a night filled with some of the best rock anthems of the last two decades. Skillet’s tireless energy, Seether’s rock-solid legacy, and standout performances from both openers made it a night to remember.
