Archer Music Hall Opens With A Heavy Metal Bang

The Archer Music Hall in Allentown, PA, celebrated its grand opening on March 8, 2025, with a powerful triple bill featuring Cavalera, Necrot, and Dead Heat. The state-of-the-art venue, located at 939 Hamilton Street, offers an accessible location with ample, affordable parking in secure lots within a few blocks.


Upon entering, attendees were greeted by friendly staff and found multiple bars and light fare options, ensuring a smooth entertainment experience. The venue's large open floor plan, complemented by wrap-around balcony seating, ensured that there wasn't a bad spot in the house.


The evening kicked off with Dead Heat, a thrash metal band who brought a wildly energetic first set to the new room. They set the tone with their high-octane riffs and stage presence, engaging the crowd from the first note.
Next up was Necrot, an Oakland-based old-school death metal band. Their performance was intense, delivering crushing riffs and vicious vocals that resonated with the audience. The band's tight musicianship and raw energy were evident throughout their set.

The headliner, Cavalera, led by the legendary Max Cavalera and brother Igor, took the stage to the delight of the crowd of metal heads clad in concert tees and battle vests adorned with logos from the Cavalera brothers' musical lineage including Soulfly and Nailbomb as well as Sepultura.


Performing classics from their extensive catalog, the band showcased their signature blend of thrash and death metal. The venue's state-of-the-art sound system handled the heavy metal riffs with precision, delivering a sonic experience that satisfied even the most discerning metal enthusiasts as they crowd surfed and moshed in some of the first circle pits to grace the new floors in this soon to be iconic Lehigh Valley venue.
Overall, Archer Music Hall's opening night was a resounding success, establishing it as a premier destination for live music in the Allentown area.
